Building Confidence and Lifesaving Skills in Our Communities
Cardiopulmondary Resucitation (CPR)
Training individuals, workplaces, and community groups in lifesaving emergency response skills.
Loup Basin Public Health Department provides CPR and community safety education to help individuals feel prepared and confident during emergencies. Through hands-on training and instruction, participants learn important lifesaving skills such as CPR, AED use, and emergency response techniques that can make a critical difference before professional help arrives.

Our CPR coordinator and trainer is affiliated with the American Heart Association and currently offers CPR certification courses throughout the district, with plans to expand training opportunities and class offerings in the future. Whether you’re completing certification requirements, preparing for a healthcare role, or simply wanting to be prepared to help in an emergency, our program is here to provide accessible, supportive instruction for all experience levels.
What is a Community Health Worker?
Connecting Community Members to Resources & Support
A Community Health Worker (CHW) is a trained public health professional who works directly with individuals and families to help them navigate health and social services. CHWs help bridge the gap between communities and healthcare systems by providing education, support, and connection to resources. Their work focuses on improving access, building trust, and helping community members feel supported in reaching their health goals.
