Our Water Testing & Safety program helps residents understand the importance of testing their drinking water and how to get started. We provide education, guidance, and a wide range of resources to help you make informed decisions about your water. Water quality can vary, especially for private wells, and regular testing is an important step in protecting your health.
Due to the time-sensitive nature of water samples, testing must be completed through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Public Health Environmental Laboratory to ensure accurate results. Residents can obtain test kits directly through the lab. In addition to helping you access testing, we offer educational materials on when to test, what contaminants to look for, and how to interpret your results. Whether you’re testing for routine safety, specific concerns, or peace of mind, our team is here to support you with clear, reliable information every step of the way.
