Clinical Health Services

Loup Basin strives to offer a variety of clinical support for our communities.

Immunizations

LBPHD offers vaccines to everyone regardless of insurance status.

With programs like Vaccines for Children (VFC) and Vaccines for Adults (VFA) that provide vaccines to those with limited or no insurance, Loup Basin looks forward to serving all demographics of our communities.

Dental

Our Public Health Dental Hygienist provides limited dental services such as: dental screenings, fluoride applications, varnish applications and cleanings.

Dental appointments with our Dental Hygienist should not replace annual appointments with your primary dental provider. Our dental care is a secondary measure to improve overall dental health in our district.

Our dental hygienists visit enrolled schools throughout the district to evaluate and screen children for potential problems like cavities and decay that are then referred onto a dentist.

This is a voluntary program for students, aimed at educating children to brush regularly to maintain their oral health.

This program is managed between LBPHD and local education facilites.

Lactation & Feeding Support

Certified Lactation Counselors (CLCs) are trained clinical providers who promote, protect and support breast feeding and lactation. While CLCs specialize in breastfeeding, they also provide compassionate, evidence-based support for formula feeding, pumping, combination feeding and all infant feeding choices - because every family deserves informed care, no matter how they feed their baby.

WIC is a federally funded program designed to improve the health of pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five. Enrollment for LBPHD’s WIC program will begin in July 2026.
