Working together to strengthen emergency preparedness across Nebraska

Tri-City Medical Response System

Regional healthcare collaboration focused on emergency preparedness, response, and community resilience.

Loup Basin Public Health Department is a participating partner in the Tri-Cities Regional Medical Response System (TRIMRS), one of seven healthcare coalitions in Nebraska. TRIMRS brings together hospitals, public health agencies, emergency management, emergency medical services, long-term care facilities, and other community partners to strengthen preparedness and response efforts across the region.

Through this partnership, coalition members work together to improve communication, coordinate resources, support training and exercises, and prepare for emergencies that may impact public health and healthcare systems. These efforts help communities respond more effectively to situations such as severe weather, disease outbreaks, mass casualty incidents, and other public health emergencies. By working collaboratively, TRIMRS helps build a stronger, more resilient healthcare network for the communities we serve.

Why Healthcare Coalitions Matter

Healthcare coalitions help communities prepare before emergencies happen. By building strong partnerships and coordinated response systems, coalition members can respond more effectively, share resources, and support healthcare systems during times of increased need.
